‘Attack on Titan’ creator Hajime Isayama is making his first US appearance at Anime NYC 2022

Anime NYC has announced that Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama will be making his first US appearance at the convention!

“Born in Oita, Japan in 1986, Hajime Isayama’s debut work, orz, received the 81st Weekly Shonen Magazine Rookie Award in 2008, and debuted at Magazine Special. He started serializing Attack on Titan in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. A global sensation, Attack on Titan received the 35th Kodansha Manga Award.”

The mangaka behind the immensely popular series, Hajime Isayama‘s appearance at Anime NYC will be his first in North America, news sure to make Attack on Titan fans hype about the opportunity to see the creator.

Attack on Titan tells the story of a world where humanity lives surrounded by massive walls to survive the constant assault of giant creatures called titans who devour humans. The series would go on to be adapted into an anime in 2013 and became a worldwide favorite, earning praise for its action, visuals, and captivating story. It has even become a favorite of celebrity nerds, including John Boyega and Michael B. Jordan.

Hajime Isayama will conduct an autograph session on Friday, November 18, at Anime NYC. He will later appear on Anime NYC’s Main Stage on Saturday, November 19, for a talk about his work.

Anime NYC 2022 Powered By Crunchyroll is set for November 18-20 at the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. Badges for Friday and Sunday are still available.
