Add the Blu-ray version of one of the Lupin gang’s most thrilling adventures when Lupin III: Dead Or Alive heads to Blu-ray this October.

“In the war-torn nation of Zulu, Lupin frees several criminals from prison to aid him in deciphering the mysterious Drifting Island, a nano-technology safe securing the nations treasure.

The coup that put General Headhunter in charge also killed off anyone who could clear the Island’s extreme ID check. Rumor has It that the princess Emerah knows the secret to entering Drifting Isle, but when Lupin frees Emerah from Headhunter’s palace, he gets a surprise: “Emerah” is actually the undercover agent Oleander in disguise!

Ole is in for her own surprise when the long-dead Prince Pannish comes back from the dead to lead an uprising against Headhunter. Can Lupin, together with his gang and Pannish, save the nation and unlock the treasure vault, even with a million-dollar bounty on his head?”

Lupin III: Dead Or Alive was released in 1996 and sees Lupin & his gang take on the despotic General Headhunter as they try to free the nation of Zulu and open an unopenable vault. The movie was directed by Lupin III creator Monkey Punch, with a screenplay by Hiroshi Kashiwabara, music by Takayuki Negishi, and animated Tokyo Movie Shinsha.

The Blu-ray release includes the movie in English and Japanese with English subtitles audio options.
