Commemorate Cowboy Bebop’s 25th anniversary with the upcoming ‘Book of Cowboy Bebop’

Iconic anime series Cowboy Bebop celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. We already talked about its upcoming anniversary concert, but another amazing way to celebrate this major moment is by grabbing Bandai Namco’s The Book of Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy Bebop premiered in Japan on April 3, 1998. An anime space western directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, it follows the crew of the Bebop as they hunt bounties and wealth across the solar system. It quickly gained praise for its sense of style, its captivating characters, engrossing musical score (featuring the legendary Yoko Kanno), and narrative.

The Book of Cowboy Bebop is an official book set made up of two booklets, a color booklet and a black-and-white booklet, giving a special look behind the scenes with storyboards and illustrations of characters, settings, vehicles & mechs, the opening & ending animations, and more, as well as interviews and dialogues between the the staff that worked on the series.

Interviews and Dialogues Include:

• A dialogues between Director: Shinichiro Watanabe and Producer: Masahiko Minami
• A dialogue between Toshihiro Kawamoto (character design) and Kimitoshi Yamane (mechanical design)
• Interview with Yoko Kanno

The box’s back cover has signatures from several of the crew members who worked on the series, including director Shinichiro Watanabe, alongside new official art of Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed, and Ein.

The Book of Cowboy Bebop will be released in April 2024, with pre-orders open now and closing on November 23, 2023. Looking for a music experience to commemorate the anniversary?
