The second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero has finally gotten a Japanese release date!

The Rising of the Shield Hero is a fantasy isekai light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. It tells the story of Naofumi Iwatani, who is summoned alongside three other men to a magical world as its Cardinal Heroes. Each blessed with a legendary piece of equipment, Iwatani finds himself equipped with the least respected weapon: a shield. He decides to set out and prove that he can be just as great a hero. The first season of the anime adaption was directed by Takao Abo and written by Keigo Koyonagi, and with animation by Kinema Citrus. The second season is directed by Masato Jinbo, with animation by DR Movie.
