Japanese Sesame Oil Brand Creates Oily Boy Romance Manga

The question is whose sweat is the best?

We love ourselves some fun marketing. Looking at your product with a comical eye can really help make it something memorable. Well, a Japanese sesame oil brand is joining the list of memorable ads, as they have created a manga series where a high schooler cant pick between two handsome men, whose sweat smells like sesame oil.

GomaAbu Love, created by the Kadoya Sesame Mills, focuses on 16-year-old Megumi Gomanome and her love of all things sesame oil. Megumi has two love interests, both with sweat the smells like different sesame oil. Her childhood friend Jun Kadoya (who represents the mild sesame oil) and popular rebel Kaoru Koi (representing the more intense sesame oil).

As both boys try to get the attention of Megumi, it leads to all of the classic romance manga moments.

Just with the inclusion of sesame oil…

A tale as old as time, GomaAbu Love has managed to be well received, currently sitting two chapters in. We cant wait to see how this ends.

Though if we know our romance mangas, Megumi’s life is set to get a lot more complicated first. You can read GomaAbu here.
