One of the most beloved murder mystery franchises is making a return! As reported by Natalie.mu, a new Higurashi When They Cry anime adaption is on its way, giving now excited fans a teaser trailer and visual art, to tie them over.
New project started “When Higurashi is gone” –
An anime adaption of the visual novel series by 07th Expansion, it has long become an anime mystery fan favorite, and a staple of the genre.

No word yet on just what the new project’s form will take, whether it’s a movie or series, but fans are already excited! Especially with the original series slated to be reaired in Japan later this week.
