Bleach began in 2001 as a manga series written by Tite Kubo. It tells the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who can see spirits. He is shocked when he comes across a “soul reaper,” later becoming one himself. It is now up to Ichigo to help souls crossover to the afterlife and defeat powerful monstrous spirits called hollows. The series got an anime adaptation in 2004, several anime films, novels, video games, stage shows, and a live-action film. The anime adaptation continued after ending early with the premiere of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, followed by Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 and Part 3
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will continue with part Part 4: Calamity, the fourth and final season of Thousand-Year Blood War. It will premiere on July 25, 2026, and will be available to stream on Disney+.
