Volume 29 of D.Gray-Man is getting a North American release next month, revealing more of Allen and Mana’s fate after the Garvey Circus incident.
“Kanda, Johnny, General Tiedoll, and Link listen as Allen tells of the incident at the Garvey Circus where everyone except he and Mana disappeared, then of how he and Mana journeyed together until Mana passed away. This leads the group to puzzle over the mystery of the holy war they’ve been fighting for so long. What is it really about? It soon comes to light that a clue may be discovered at a certain old bookshop.”

D.Gray-Man is a dark fantasy adventure series written and illustrated by Katsura Hoshino. Set in an alternate history where evil creatures called Akuma terrorize mankind, Allen Walker joins an organization of exorcists called the Black Order to fight the Millennium Earl, the one behind the Akuma’s rise. The series was adapted into an anime series in 2006, which was directed by Osamu Nabeshima, written by Reiko Yoshida, with music by Kaoru Wada, and produced by TMS Entertainment. A sequel anime series, D.Gray-man Hallow, was released in 2016, with Yoshiharu Ashino taking over as director and TMS Entertainment joined by 8PAN to handle production.
