Stream ‘Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital’ For Free On YouTube Starting July 11th

TMS Entertainment’s official channel continues to upload their anime movies and OVAs on YouTube, to the delight of anime fans, with the next release Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital.

“Kyoto is the cultural capital of Japan, full of history, nature and romance. There, Conan meets up with his friend and rival Heiji once again, teaming up to solve the case of a stolen Buddha statue! And then, there’s the case of Heiji’s first love…? Emotions run high in this buddy-style mystery!”

Detective Conan (Also known as Case Closed) is written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. A Mystery series, it follows teenage expert detective Shinichi Kudo, who, after a chance encounter with a secret organization, finds himself trapped in the body of a child. Using his expert deductive skills, he secretly assists private detective Kogoro Mori, while also hunting the mysterious group that put him in his current state. Detective Conan is one of the longest-running manga and anime series, with the manga having over 1,100 chapters and the anime having aired over 1,200 episodes at the time of writing

Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital was released in 2003, and is the seventh feature film based on the Detective Conan series. The movie follows Conan as he teams up with Hattori Heiji to find a group of antique thieves to solve a series of murders. The film was directed by Kenji Kodama, his final directorial work in the franchise, a role he had held since the first film, Detective Conan: The Time-Bombed Skyscraper. Crossroad in the Ancient Capital was written by Kazunari Kochi, with music by Katsuo Ohno, and production by TMS Entertainment.
