New volumes of ‘Kaiju No. 8’ & ‘Kaiju No. 8: B-Side’ volumes head to stores next month

More gigantic battles are on the way as volume 14 of Kaiju No. 8 and the second and last volume of its spin-off, Kaiju No. 8: B-Side, are being released in North America by Viz Media.

Kaiju No. 8 is a science fiction action series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto and published by Shueisha in Japan and Viz Media in Japan. Set in a world where cities are regularly attacked by creatures called Kaiju, the series follows Kafka Hibino, who, after digesting a mysterious parasite, can turn into a Kaiju. The series is praised for its intense action, monster designs, and characters.

Kaiju No. 8: B-Side is a spin-off written by Naoya Matsumoto and Keiji Ando, with illustrations by Kentaro Hidano. Based on the light novel Kaiju No. 8: Exclusive on the Third Division (written by Keiji Ando), it focuses on the side-stories of Defense Force members.
