The time is almost here to celebrate the anime series, characters, and studios that had us all captivated last year-–the Crunchyroll Awards! And ahead of the fan-favorite event, Crunchyroll has announced a lineup of celebrity presenters, including industry titans, beloved performers, celebrated athletes, and gaming personalities!
The roster of guests includes:
- Aidan Hutchinson, American football defensive end for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.
- Finn Wolfhard, actor, musician and director (Stranger Things, Pinocchio, Ghostbusters, IT)
- Hunter Schafer, actress and artist (Euphoria and the upcoming The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes)
- Jacob Bertrand, actor (Cobra Kai)
- Juju Smith-Schuster, American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League
- Robert Rodriguez, film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, editor and musician (Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Alita: Battle Angel)
- Zelina Vega, WWE Superstar
- Sykkuno, one of the largest streamers on YouTube Gaming (9.8M+ followers)
- Valkyrae, one of the biggest female streamers in the world (13M followers) and the co-owner of 100 Thieves
And this is just the start, with additional guests and musical performances being announced soon.
The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is the anime brand’s annual award show where fans from around the globe get to vote on numerous categories, letting others know what series and characters they loved in the year prior. This year’s award show will be opened by Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman, President and CEO of Sony Group Corporation live from Tokyo and will be hosted by renowned voice actress Sally Amaki and popular entertainer Jon Kabira.
This year’s nominees include big titles like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, SPY x Family, Attack on Titan, Ranking of Kings, Lycoris Recoil, Demon Slayer, and more. The list of nominees represents more than 30 anime studios, eight streaming platforms, more than 50 series and films, and over 50 voice actors.
The 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards will be held on Saturday, March 4th. You can cheer on your picks by watching through a global fan Livestream. So stay tuned to the official site and get your evening wear ready!
