Six-episode ONA series ‘Lupin Zero’ will tell the origins of the gentleman thief!

A newly announced Lupin the 3RD ONA series titled Lupin Zero has been announced and will show the origins for everyone’s favorite thief!

Lupin III, a bored junior high schooler in Tokyo, takes an interest in a young Daisuke Jigen, a mysterious and impressive marksman. Lupin III strikes up a conversation with Jigen at a nightclub, however during their talk, Jigen concludes that Lupin III is simply a privileged and naïve boy from a well-to-do family and doesn’t want anything to do with him. However, while helping the nightclub singer Yoko, who is being pursued by the yakuza, Jigen learns that Lupin III is a descendant of the legendary thief…

Lupin Zero will show Lupin’s childhood in “A nostalgic yet new original story inspired by the “Shonen Lupine” edition that is also drawn in the original.” It’s trailer shows a young Lupin on a dangerous adventure in the 1960s.

The series looks exciting and is sure to shine more light on the early life of the world’s greatest thief. More information will come at this year’s Anime NYC where TMS, HIDIVE, and the convention are teaming up for a special world premiere screening of LUPIN ZERO at Anime NYC on Friday, November 18 at 6:30 pm. There will also be a panel that will feature voice actors, news, giveaways and more!
