Anime franchise Psycho-Pass is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new movie, the trailer for which, is a look back at the series!
Psycho-Pass is a cyberpunk psychological thriller franchise produced by Production I.G. and released in 2012. It was co-directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani and Katsuyuki Motohiro, written by Gen Urobuchi, with character designs by Akira Amano, and music by Yugo Kanno. Set in a futuristic Japan where citizens’ brains are scanned by a bio-computer called the Sibyl System. Able to read each person’s potential to be a criminal, members of the Ministry of Welfare Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Department pair themselves with people with latent criminal potential to investigate and solve crimes. The series was well received and gained much praise for its animation, action, and writing. It would go on to get two sequel series, several films, manga series, and novels.
There are no details yet on what the movie will entail, but it sees the return of Naoyoshi Shiotani as director. It currently has no release date.
