The ‘.hack’ series celebrates its 20th anniversary with special merch, exhibit, and trailer

The iconic .hack series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month, and they have announced special merchandise and an exhibit to ring in this impressive milestone!

“June 20th, 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the .hack series, and we’ll be kicking off multiple campaigns to celebrate!”

.hack began in 2002 and is an anime and video game focusing on narratives involving a virtual reality MMORPG (mostly the fictional game titled The World). It balanced its series narrative between the games and anime series, earning it praise for the scale of its story. .hack would go on to get several games, anime series, manga, and novelizations, as well as have its characters appear in cross-over media like Project x Zone.

The .hack 20th-anniversary lineup of events and goods includes:

(1) The release of our .hack//20th Anniversary Book on July 19th!
This anniversary book covers all 20 years of .hack, starting back with the very first title on PS2, .hack//Infection Vol.1!
Scheduled release date: July 19th, 2022 (Tue.)

(2) The opening of our .hack//20th Anniversary Exhibit!
We will be holding our series’ first-ever exhibit at Yurakucho Marui.
Location: Yurakucho Marui
Period: August 9th (Tue.) to August 28th, 2022 (Sun.)
*This exhibit will only be held in Japan.

(3)The release of numerous 20th Anniversary goods!
-Commemorative Art Work: .hack//20th Game Art Works
