An exciting bit of news for fans of the classic anime series Fruits Basket! Crunchyroll is bringing the subbed & dubbed versions of the Fruits Basket prequel film, Fruits Basket -prelude- to theaters starting this weekend, with tickets available now!

Fruits Basket manga was created by Natsuki Takaya in 1998, with the original anime series premiering in 2001. A new anime series would begin in 2019. It follows high school student Tohru Honda, whose life suddenly became filled with despair following a terrible loss. Living in a tent, she comes across the Soma clan and the strange secret that they turn into animals of the Zodiac when hugged by members of the opposite sex! Now living with them, her fortune seems to have turned around.
Fruits Basket -prelude- tells the story of Tohru’s parents falling in love, setting up the events of the main series
