Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! began as a manga series written and illustrated by Take. It follows two former high school classmates attending the same college, with the energetic Hana Uzaki attempting to show loner Shinichi Sakurai how fun life can be. The anime series premiered in 2020 and is directed by Kazuya Miura and written by Takashi Aoshima, with music by Satoshi Igarashi and animation by ENGI.

The second season was greenlit as the first season wrapped up.
