A new anime adaption of the post-apocalyptic dark fantasy series Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy is heading to Netflix and is letting fans get an action-packed peek in a new teaser trailer.

Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy is a manga series written and illustrated by Kazushi Hagiwara. It is about the Kingdom of Metallicana, which is coming under attack from the Four Lords of Havoc. The only solution is to awaken the soul of the powerful wizard Dark Schnieder. The series is inspired by Hagiwara’s love of Dungeons & Dragons and heavy metal.

The anime adaption is directed by Takaharu Ozaki, written by Yōsuke Kuroda, with music by Yasuharu Takanashi, and animation by Liden Films. This is the second anime adaption of the series, with the first being a six-episode OVA that aired in the early 90s.

Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy will premiere in 2022 on Netflix.
