Get ready to dive back into the world of Subnautica (though it will be a bit chillier this time around), as Subnautica: Below Zero has gotten a release date and a new trailer!
Subnautica: Below Zero sees players trying to not only survive beneath the waves but above it in a harsh new artic climate filled with all kinds of new dangers.
The original Subnautica was released in 2018 to well-deserved praise. Developed by Unkown Worlds Entertainment, it saw players surviving in an alien planet’s ocean following a devastating space ship crash. They had to gather materials, build shelter, and figure out a way home. Subnautica: Below Zero was originally intended to be a DLC, but as the game’s scope increased, it eventually was announced as its own title. It was released in early access for PC and Mac via Steam and the Epic Game Store in 2019.
Subnautica: Below Zero will be available May 14, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X.
