The release of theatrical Sailor Moon film, Sailor Moon Eternal Part 1, has been delayed due to COVID-19. The first of two theatrical releases serving as the fourth season to the Sailor Moon Crystal anime, the film was originally set to be released on September 11th, 2020 of this year. Its new release date is January 8th, 2021 as announced by a post on twitter.
Sailor Moon Eternal is an adaption of Sailor Moon’s Dream (Dead Moon) arc. It’s the first Sailor Moon theatrical film in 20 years, though fans now have to wait a bit longer.

Sailor Moon Eternal Part 1 will be released on January 8th, 2021, with Part 2 premiering February 11th, 2021.
