Can you make your friend happy?

Shen Comix is much loved for the relatable, fun, and slight absurd illustrations he makes. Reflections on growth and the reality of sadness, made hilarious through his comic’s unique style, his new card game, “Your Friend is Sad,” looks adorable–and sad.

Your Friend is Sad is a hand management and card matching game where 1-4 players work to make their friend, Shen, happy.

Don’t worry, according to the game’s Kickstarter FAQ, Shen is fine.

Take Shen across adorable landscapes and adventurous scenes, as you try to make him happy. Players will combat the various feelings and “brain goops” that your friend is experiencing. Its creators took the time to detail how while the game is a relaxed experience, they also understand the nature of pervasive sadness isn’t easily dismissed, featuring an address from a Mental Health expert.

The game comes from Shen Comix and Jason Anarchy Games.

Currently, on Kickstarter, Your Friend is Sad has already reached its goal and currently is offering an amazing set of stretch goals, including the contribution of much-beloved artists like Rob DenBleyker of Cyanide and Happiness, JL Westover from Mr. Lovenstein, Dami Lee of As Per Usual, and more!

You can head over to Kickstarter now to support Your Friend is Sad.
