With the currently running Sailor Moon Musical being a worldwide smash hit of a show, it is no surprise that a new musical has been announced for 2020.
As announced by the Japanese official Sailor Moon website, the next musical will be an adaption of the Sailor Moon short side story Kaguyahime no Lover (The Lover of Princess Kaguya) which was later adapted in Sailor Moon S: The Movie. A story in which Sailor Moon’s faithful companion Luna, falls in love with a human while the earth comes under attack by an evil princess from space who wants to encase the world in her icy embrace.
While no further details have been given beyond its Summer 2020 release window, but given the quality and success of the previous musicals, it is guaranteed to be a musical no Sailor Moon fan can miss!
