As reported by Kotaku, Japanese TV drama Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light will be getting a feature film.

The story of a son and father reconnecting through Final Fantasy XIV, it was based on the blog posts of an actual FFXIV player. The drama was very popular and eventually found itself streaming in the West on Netflix.

While the show starred Yudai Chiba as the son and Ren Osugi (who sadly passed away last year) as the father, the movie adaption will star Kentaro Sakaguchi and Kotaro Yoshida.
No word at the time of writing about when the film will be released.
