Gamefly To Shut Down Its Video Game Streaming Service August 31st

Gamefly is returning to only offering rentals through mail

As reported by Variety, streaming game service Gamefly will be shutting down its video game streaming services August 31. This decision will only leave their disc through mail rental service.

This follows Gamefly’s acquisition by EA earlier this year of Gamefly Cloud technology and personal, though both companies maintain that this decision was not due to EA.

Since 2002, Gamefly has provided video game rentals through the mail, with the online streaming of video games coming later.
