@ Anime NYC 2026 – The “Art of Manga” Exhibition Heads To The Brooklyn Museum This October

An absolutely gorgeous art experience is heading to the Brooklyn Museum this fall, with the opening of the Art of Manga exhibit.

With over 600 drawings, Art of Manga is organized by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and is the first major exhibition in North America to explore manga as an art form. The Brooklyn Museum’s display will be its East Coast debut and will include illustrations from numerous iconic works, including ONE PIECE, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Bleach, Inuyasha, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers, Rose of Versailles, and more. The exhibit will feature drawings from legendary mangaka, including Tetsuya Chiba, Fujio Akatsuka, Junji Itō, Tadashi Agi, and Shū Okimoto (Drops of God), Miki Tori, in collaboration with Mari Yamazaki (PLINIVS), and more.

Those looking to enjoy the event early, and with some perks, should grab a “Manga Fan Pass,” letting you and a friend enjoy unlimited entry to the exhibition, free tickets to member previews and select member evenings, as well as a collectible badge. For cosplayers, please note that that while cosplay is welcome, props must be left at coat check (CosCheck).

Art of Manga will run between October 3, 2026-January 31, 2027. Member previews will run October 1 & 2, with the final member preview set for the morning of October 3rd before it opens to the public.
