“Look Back” (2024) Is Getting A 4K UHD / Blu-ray Release This September

The 2024 anime film adaptation of LOOK BACK is getting a new 4K UHD & Blu-ray home release next month from GKIDS.

“Popular, outgoing Fujino is celebrated by her classmates for her funny comics in the class newspaper. One day, her teacher asks her to share the space with Kyomoto, a truant recluse whose beautiful artwork sparks a competitive fervor in Fujino. What starts as jealousy transforms when Fujino realizes their shared passion for drawing.”

Look Back is a coming-of-age drama movie directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama (who also wrote the screenplay). It stars Yuumi Kawai and Mizuki Yoshida, with music by Haruka Nakamura, and animation by Studio Durian. Based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, it follows two girls, both with a deep love for drawing, as their shared passion sets them on a lifelong journey to create, both as rivals and as friends.

The Collector’s Edition 4K UHD + Blu-ray release will include The Making of Look Back Featurette, Audio Commentary, Interview with Director & Cast, Interview with Haruka Nakamura, Director & Cast Post-Screening Talks, TV Spots, Teasers & Trailers, 160-page Book, and special slip cover and case.
