With a focus on owarai, a style of comedy duo popular in Japan, the series follows shy teenager Azemiichi as he teams up with former child actor Taiyo to chase their dream of becoming the best comedy duo in Japan. Along the way, they meet rivals, struggle to get their footing, and do what it takes to rise through the ranks while being true to themselves and each other.
