The Expedition 33 Soundtrack Is Getting A New Deluxe Vinyl Release

A new official Expedition 33 vinyl record is on the way over on the Materia Store. A collaboration between Laced Records, Sandfall Interactive, and Kepler Interactive, this double LP release features iconic music from the best-selling RPG alongside beautiful album cover art the game’s art director, Nicholas Maxson-Francombe.

“This double LP has been thoughtfully sequenced by Lorien, featuring an essential selection of tracks from the soundtrack such as Lumière, Une vie à peindre, and main character themes.

The music in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is pivotal in driving the emotive story that players have fallen in love with. Most tracks were written and recorded at Lorien Testard’s home studio, with a selection also performed and recorded by the prestigious Curieux Orchestre at Midilive Studios, Paris.

Lorien’s debut score is a musical painting that supports the game’s Belle Époque setting. Among many others, the leitmotifs in “Alicia” and “Lumière” are woven into the fabric of the game experience, capturing the grief and hope of the characters and the beauty of Lumière.

Central to the appeal and effectiveness of the music are the vocal melodies of Alice Duport-Percier—the lead voice and emotional heart of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s many vocal tracks. Joining Duport-Percier are vocalists Victor Borba (singer on Devil May Cry 5’s ‘Bury the Light’) and mezzo-soprano Axelle Verner.”

Special features include artwork by the game’s art director, Nicholas Maxson-Francombe, a wide-spined outer sleeve with gold foiling, and printed inner sleeves.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an RPG developed by Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive. Set in a dark fantasy world where those of a certain ever-decreasing age are wiped from existence, the player controls the titular Expedition 33 as they attempt to stop a powerful being named “The Paintress.” The game was immensely well-received and would go on to win multiple awards, including Game of the Year.

Its soundtrack was composed by Lorien Testard, who was later joined by Alice Duport-Percier. The soundtrack reached the top of Billboard’s classical album chart, where it remained at number 1 for several weeks, garnering 333 million track streams between May 2025 and October 2025.
