Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a children’s novel written by Roald Dahl and first published in 1964. It tells the story of Charlie, a young boy who wins the chance, along with other children, to tour the mysterious chocolate factory run by the reclusive chocolatier Willy Wonka. The book would be adapted into two major films, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory in 1971 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005. In 2023, a prequel film titled Wonka was created, exploring the early days of Willy Wonka’s rise as a master candy maker.
Wonka’s The Golden Ticket brings the fantastical chocolate factory to life, contestants exploring and competing, while avoiding temptations all around.
Wonka’s The Golden Ticket will premiere on Netflix on September 23.
