‘RWBY, Volume 4’ Is Getting A Blu-ray & Digital Release Later This Month

Viz Media is continuing to help RWBY fans add the series to their collection with the release of RWBY, Volume 4 on Blu-ray and digital later this month.

RWBY, Volume 4 sees the team split following the devastating events of the previous volume, with each member trying to make sense of the Fall of Beacon. It is presented in 16:9 Aspect Ratio, 1080p HD with the audio options including English 2.0, 5.1 and Japanese 2.0, 5.1 Audio with English Subtitles.

Special features include director commentary, crew commentary, A Grim Introduction, RWBY 4 Production Diary, CRWBY Photos, and the World of Remnant 9-16. The Blu-rau release includes a physical art card.

RWBY was created by the late Monty Oum and produced by Rooster Teeth Animation. Set in the fantastical world of Remnant, where evil creatures called “Grimm” ravage the land, it is up to Hunters, wielders of amazing elemental weapons, to protect those who can not defend themselves. The series follows the titular team RWBY, four very different girls who strive to be the best, as they team up and train to become Huntresses.

The series’ future was left uncertain after Rooster Teeth’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, failed to find a buyer for the production company, which was subsequently closed in 2024. RWBY wrapped up its 9th season in March 2024. It was announced in July 2024 that VIZ Media would continue the series.
