Vaguely forgotten and weird cartoons are a bit of passion here at Nerdier Tides, so you can imagine our excitement when Teen Titans Go! returned to the bizarre Looney Tunes action series, Loonatics Unleashed!

Loonatics Unleashed was an action comedy series that premiered in 2004. It followed a group of teenagers, all descendants of the original Looney Tunes. The teens’ lives are forever changed after they all gain superpowers and are tasked with protecting the city planet of Acmetropolis. The series was a unique departure from most entries in the Looney Tunes franchise, focusing on action and emotional stories. The series was developed by Christian & Yvon Tremblay. It starred Charlie Schlatter, Jessica DiCicco, Jason Marsden, Rob Paulsen, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Candi Milo.

Teen Titans Go! is a superhero comedy series based on the Teen Titans animated series Cartoon Network aired from 2003 to 2006. With a focus on comedy and hijinks, the series is a madcap examination of the absurdity of comics, comic book characters, and numerous Warner Bros. properties. The series was developed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and stars Scott Menville, Hynden Walch, Khary Payton, Tara Strong, and Greg Cipes.

A fun look back on a unique show. Who knows, this may signal the return of Ace Rabbit and his friends in some form…

Teen Titans Go! airs on Cartoon Network and is available to stream on Max.
