The Anarchy Sisters Make Their Long-Awaited Return! “New Panty & Stocking” Project Gets Promotional Video

Anime fans have long awaited the return of action-comedy Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, especially with its first season’s cliffhanger ending. Well, the premiere of its second season feels even more real with the announcement that Studio Trigger has acquired the rights to the series from Gainax! ews that came with a new promotional video teasing the return of the Anarchy sisters!

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt was created and animated by Gainax. The story of the Anarchy Sisters, Panty & Stocking, two angels who are kicked out of heaven due to their bad behavior. The pair find themselves under the command of Reverend Garterbelt, who tasks them with helping rid their new home town of Daten City of ghosts. Turning their lingerie into special weapons, each kill earns them special coins they can use to buy their way back into heaven. The series was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, and written by Geek Fleet. Action-packed adult comedy series, it was well received, with fans asking for a continuation since 2010.
