The robotic Europol investigator Gesicht takes the case, but the mystery deepens when he finds no trace of a human at the scene of the crime.
As he pursues the truth, Gesicht uncovers the most evil manifestation of hate that history ever seen, one that is bent on bringing destruction to the world…”
PLUTO began as a manga written by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki, with illustrations by Naoki Urasawa, and published by Shogakukan. Based on Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy, PLUTO follows a robot detective trying to solve a series of murders, where the clues all point to a robot committing the murders, an impossibility in a world where robots can not kill. The anime adaptation is directed by Toshio Kawaguchi, with music by Yugo Kanno, production by Genco and Tezuka Productions, and animation by Studio M2.
PLUTO premieres on October 26, 2023, on Netflix.
