DC is getting ready for the upcoming Superman Anniversary by posting the scene from the early 2000s series Smallville.

Smallville was a superhero TV series that ran from 2001 – 2011. Showing the teenage years of Clark Kent, the series followed him coming into his powers and dealing with the fallout of his arrival on Earth. Running for 10 seasons, it starred Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore, and Justin Hartley. The series would go on to be a cult classic, with fans demanding a proper return to this version of the DC Universe.

The Superman Anniversary celebrates when Superman first made his debut in Action Comics #1 on April 18, 1938. Created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, he would go on to become a global icon, synonymous with the idea of the superhero.

You can stream Smallville on Hulu.
