The seventh and final season of the CW’s Riverdale has premiered, and it sees its cast of characters transported back to 1955, providing a mysterious fresh start for the world–save for one character.

Riverdale is a reimagining of the classic Archie Comic universe. Following the iconic characters in a modern day setting, it’s a genre spanning series that includes crime, supernatural, and Lovecraftian elements. The final season of Riverdale has Archie, his friends, and supporting casts (some returning from the dead?) transported back to the 1950s, an obvious reference to the franchise’s origins.

Riverdale is available to stream now on the CW app.
