‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series ‘House of the Dragon’ has gotten its first trailer

HBO Max’s upcoming series House of the Dragon, a prequel series to Game of Thrones, has gotten its first trailer.

House of the Dragon is a prequel series to Game of Thrones and is based on the novel Fire & Blood. Set two hundred years before the events of the main series, it tells the story of the trials of the House Targaryen and the war known as the “Dance of the Dragons.” The series is created by Ryan J. Condal & George R. R. Martin and stars Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.

The Game of Thrones tv series is based on A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novel series by George R.R. Martin. Running from 2011-2019, it follows the machinations of several noble families and important figures in regard to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. The series received a lot of praise for its writing, action, political intrigue, and ensemble cast, though its last season had mixed reviews.

House of the Dragon premieres on August 21 on HBO Max, where you can also watch all of the original Game of Thrones.
