Recently, we reported on how a new Lollipop Chainsaw project was in development by Japanese game studio Dragami Games. Well, thanks to new tweets from the developer, we now have a release year, a better idea of the project, and what looks like our first look!
The new game, tentatively titled Lollipop Chainsaw Remake, will be released as a part of the Lollipop Chainsaw 10th Anniversary. The game is being worked on by several staff members who worked on the original game.
Lollipop Chainsaw was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and came from the minds of game developer Suda51 and filmmaker James Gunn. A hack-and-slash game, you played as the chainsaw-wielding cheerleader Juliet Starling as she fights the zombies currently plaguing her high school. The game was released in 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and hasn’t seen a rerelease, port, or sequel in all that time.
Lollipop Chainsaw Remake will be released next year. Stay tuned for more information and news!
