An iconic duo is finally back and heading to space in Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe!
“In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-head are sentenced to Space Camp by a “creative” judge in 1998, leading to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results. After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.”

Beavis and Butt-Head was created by Mike Judge (who would later go on to create King of the Hill) as a short on MTV before being adapted into short format TV series in 1993. The show followed a pair of teenage slackers as their idiocy and knack for chaos annoys (and harms) everyone they meet. The series is considered a cultural landmark, becoming well known for its unique humor, bizarre world, and segments where the pair would watch and criticize real music videos. The series would get a spin-off in the form of Daria (one of our all-time favorite shows here at NT).
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe sees the slackers take to the stars after being sentenced to space camp.
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe premieres on June 23 on Paramount+. You can stream the original series and its revivals there too.
