Anime NYC 2022 has teamed up with Lyte.com to open up an official badge exchange, giving fans a way to get sold-out tickets for the event.
Anime NYC’s official badge exchange is a moderated space for fans to return and request badges, letting them avoid scalpers when tickets for the highly anticipated event have sold out. The platform ensures each badge is real, with the exchange being secure and private. Prices are determined by interest in the event, an algorithm to review returns, requests, and prices on unofficial auction and reseller websites, using that information to calculate the most competitive price for both badge buyers and sellers.
This is a move to combat the ever-present issue for popular conventions of scalpers and scammers selling fans attempting to participate in the convention, overpriced or fake badges. The concern is high this year for Anime NYC, as 3-day badges for the event sold out quickly.

Anime NYC 2022 is set for November 18-20 at the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. Badges for individual days are still available.
