The return of the classic anime series Urusei Yatsura is set for later this year, and fans are getting their first look at it thanks to a new teaser trailer!
Urusei Yatsura began as a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi (the creator of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha) in the 1970s. A science-fiction `romantic comedy, it tells the story of Japanese high school student Ataru Moroboshi and the alien princess Lum, to who he accidentally proposes marriage. It received an anime adaption that ran in the 1980s, several films, and video games.

The 2022 adaption is directed by Hideya Takahashi & Yasuhiro Kimura, with Takahiro Komei as series director. It is written by Yūko Kakihara, with music by Masaru Yokoyama, and animation by David Production.
