An art gallery in Tokyo is pulling in views with its latest display by artist Hajime Kinoko: five models intricately tied to a building to celebrate the art of Shibari.

Shibari is the art of Japanese bondage and is known for its use of poses and dynamic patterns. While considered by most as solely a kink, it has gone beyond that, receiving the respect it is due as an art medium.

The installation was done by famed shibari artist Hajime Kinoko at a gallery on Cat Street in Harajuku, with onlookers gathering to see the building and the people bound to it.

An interesting display of what used to be considered a private art. It is captivating, haunting, and impressive.

You can check out more of Hajime Kinoko’s work and the process of creating the installation by setting a course for their Twitter account!
