Lupin the 3rd Part 2 heads To HIDIVE this month!

Lupin the 3RD Part 2, one of the most iconic Lupin the 3rd series, is heading to HIDIVE, letting anime fans check out some of the early adventures of the Lupin Gang!

“Five years ago, the legendary thief Lupin III and his allies escaped Japan and scattered across the globe. Now the gunman Jigen, femme fatale Fujiko and samurai Goemon have received invitations to join Lupin aboard a luxury liner, but there’s something fishy in the water — and it isn’t just the sharks over the starboard bow. The evil Mister X has revenge on his mind, and it will take every bit of their skills for Lupin and company to escape his evil clutches and return to thievery once again!”

Lupin the 3rd Part 2 premiered in 1977 and is often credited with reigniting the franchise’s popularity in the West when its English dub aired on Adult Swim. Affectionately called “Red Jacket Lupin,” it is considered by some to be the series with the most influence on the franchise.

HIDIVE will be streaming both the English sub and dub of the series, with the dub only reaching up to episode 79 of the series.
