Netflix’s ‘Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Sustainable War’ turns the anime’s first season into a theatrical animation!

Season one of Netflix’s Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is being remade into a theatrical animation!

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Sustainable War takes the events of the first season and adds new scenes and full re-color grading for all of its shots. It is directed by Michihito Fujii and will let fans get a new sense of the first seasons events.

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is based on the iconic Ghost in the Shell manga created by Masamune Shirow. Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is set in the Stand Alone Complex timeline and sees the members of Section 9 reunited when their former Chief discovers a conspiracy sure to change the world. The series is directed by Kenji Kamiyama & Shinji Aramaki, written by Kenji Kamiyama, with music by Kazuma Jinnōchi & Irone Toda, and animation by Production I.G & Sola Digital Arts.

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Sustainable War premieres on May 9th on Netflix, with Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 starting on the platform on May 23rd. Head there now to check out its first season.
