Square Enix has announced during their Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary livestream that the newest main entry game in the series is currently in development.
The Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer shows off the classic trio of Sora, Donald, Goofy, a new character named Strelitzia, and a Tokyo-inspired city besieged by Heartless. The game will begin the “Lost Master Arc” of the series.
Square Enix has also announced Kingdom Hearts Missing Link, a mobile game set in the world of Scala Ad Caelum from Kingdom Hearts 3.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was released in 2019 and wrapped up the Xehanort arc of the game and its spin-offs.
There are no details yet on a release date for either game, but a closed beta test is scheduled for 2022.
