Peter Gadiot Announced As Shanks For The Live-Action One Piece Series

Today One Piece had a batch of reveals sure to get fans very excited, but one of them was the announcement that Peter Gadiot will be portraying Luffy’s Mentor Shanks in the live-action One Piece series.

The live-action One Piece series is slated for its first season to run for ten episodes, with One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda as the executive producer. The series is coming from Tomorrow Studios, the same force that helped with the Live-Action Cowboy Bebop. No word has been given yet on where and when the series takes place in the One Piece narrative.

The cast line-up includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida, Mckinley Belcher as Arlong, Jeff Ward as Buggy, Vincent Regan as Garp, and Aidan Scott as Helmeppo.

No word yet on when fans can expect the premiere of the series.
