Variety has reported that iconic animation block Toonami is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary with two new seasons of FLCL, as well as a new original series titled Housing Complex C!
The new FLCL seasons are titled FLCL: Grunge and FLCL: Shoegaze, and are currently in production. Grunge is directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo, with animation by MontBlanc Pictures. It is set to release in 2023.

Shoegaze is directed by Yutaka Uemura, with animation by Production I.G and NUT. No release date has been given. Housing Complex C is an original series coming from Adult Swim, centered on a girl living in a Housing Complex C is the story of a girl living in a low-cost housing complex. The series is directed by Yuji Nara, and is based on an original concept by Amphibian, who is also handling its script. Animation is by Akatsuki.
