Mia Ikumi, the illustrator for the original Tokyo Mew Mew manga series, has passed away, as announced by a post from TV Tokyo.

Well known for her work on the Tokyo Mew Mew series (including writing Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode)\, she also worked on Repure, Koi Cupid, Only One Wish, and more. She will be missed by fans and her industry peers.

From all your fans, we want to offer our condolences. Thank you for the amazing stories you helped create, Miss Ikumi.
