New Demon Slayer Manga, ‘Stories of Water and Flame,’ Now Available

VIZ Media has released a new spin-off Demon Slayer manga, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba–Stories of Water and Flame.

“Giyu heads north to an area where a band of hunters was killed. He and the Insect Hashira meet Yae, the daughter of a slain hunter, who believes a bear killed her father, but the truth is harder to face. Kyojuro also receives his newest assignment and hopes completing it will prove he’s worthy of the title Flame Hashira, which his father abandoned. An explosive battle unfolds as Kyojuro takes on a demon of the Twelve Kizuki who holds a grudge against Kyojuro’s father.”

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba–Stories of Water and Flame is a spin-off from the main series, written and illustrated by Ryoji Hirano. It tells the stories about fan-favorite characters Giyu and Kyojuro as they embark on adventures that test their resolve.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge. The series follows Tanjiro Kamado as he tries to cure his sister Nezuko’s demonic curse. Along the way, they meet new allies and dangerous enemies. Demon Slayer quickly became a worldwide anime fan-favorite franchise, with its sales and releases topping the charts and breaking sales records in Japan.
