Ōban Star-Racers creator Savin Yeatman-Eiffel has announced that a Kickstarter campaign will be launching in February to bring the series to Blu-ray!
The news was revealed during the 15th-anniversary celebration for the series, which saw fun discussions between fans and the creators, and even details of what a sequel series might be about. The proposed campaign will include the series in native HD 4/3 format at 24 f/s. It will be dubbed into 11 languages including English, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. There will also be a Collector’s edition featuring a new mini-artbook.
Ōban Star-Racers was created by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel of Sav! The World Productions as a cooperative project with Jetix Europe, with animation handled by HAL Film Maker and Pumpkin 3D. The series received praise for its unique characters, captivating story, stunning visuals, and fun racing action.
