The xxxHOLIC Live-Action Movie Gets First Teaser Trailer

The upcoming live-action movie adaption of dark fantasy series xxxHOLIC has gotten its first teaser trailer, showing a supernatural story that is sure to have fans captivated.

xxxHOLIC began as a manga series written and illustrated by the iconic manga group Clamp. The series follows Kimihiro Watanuki, who can see spirits that no one else can. After stumbling into a shop that promises to fulfill any wish, he is tasked with becoming its owner’s house cook and attendant, slowly being pushed to perform jobs of a supernatural nature. xxxHOLIC would go on to get an anime adaption, anime film, live-action tv series, and a live stage play.

The live-action film is directed by Mika Ninagawa, with Erika Yoshida providing the screenplay and Keiichirou Shibuuya composing the music. It will star Ko Shibasaki and Ryūnosuke Kamiki.

xxxHOLIC will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 29, 2022. No word yet on a western release.
