Adult Swim has uploaded a full episode of Teenage Euthanasia, its upcoming animated series set to fully premiere later this month, and the show looks to be a hilariously bizarre and dark comedy.
Teenage Euthanasia was created by Alissa Nutting and Alyson Levy. It follows teenager Euthanasia “Annie” Fantasy, who, after being raised by her grandmother Baba and uncle Pete, is devastated that the long-awaited return of her mother Trophy, is that she is just the latest body at her family’s Funeral Home. That is until she brings her mother back to life via her tears and specially treated embalming fluid. Now Annie and her mother have a second chance at connecting. Oh, and weird stuff. A whole lot of weird stuff. It stars Jo Firestone, Maria Bamford, Tim Robinson, and Bebe Neuwirth.
The preview episode sees the Fantasy Family heading to a Funeral Home Convention (or Fun Con). While there, Baba tries to win an award for her homemade embalming fluid, Trophy tries to get revenge on her former best friend, Annie goes on a date, and Pete just wants his mother to acknowledge his birthday.
Teenage Euthanasia premieres on Adult Swim on September 19th @ midnight. You can check out the preview episode by heading to the Adult Swim YouTube Channel.
